Check this out.
In the year 2006 Omid Farikhzad and Robert Langer devised a lethal dose of a chemical called Docetaxel into a Polymer 1000th the width of a human hair. This Poylmer dissolves ONLY the insides of the CANCEROUS human cells, and for the men in the group Docetaxel kills prostate cancer.
Kicker…
Funding problems and time-consuming safety test have slowed down the introduction to the public. Well let’s see, if Dick or “W” had prostate cancer, I am sure things would speed up for the sake of the welfare of our great leaders. (yeah@#$%^&)

So true! And I bet if they both had a need for stem cell stuff, they would go ahead and have that researched and approved by the FDA pronto!

Do you know what the details are on holding up the introduction of this treatment? You would think that the success with the early tests would eliminate the funding problem. And as far as safety testing goes, I suppose when you introduce anything lethal into a person, you gotta be pretty careful. Although, from what I know about Chemo, it’s basically a treament that brings you very close to death.

Scary, but what a great move toward finding a cure for prostate cancer! Very good news. I hope they can get funded properly to move forward with it.

Gotta love red tape! Argh!

I agree with Py, after dealing with exposure and environmental issues I am conservative with the introduction of treatment or control. Sometimes the cure is worse than the disease. I would like to know where Docetaxel goes after it kills off the cancer cell and what compound it degrades to after its half life.

seriously they probably used a combination of that and some life saving syrup (that would damage pharmaceuticals companies sales) to revive the guy that Chenney shot “accidentally” while hunting
