A Real Ghost story
Many years ago in the wee early morning hours I was fast asleep.  I was pulled to consciousness by an eerie feeling that someone was watching me.
I opened my eyes and standing right next to my bed was a very old lady with hair the looked like she just stuck her finger in a wall socket.  It was literally sticking straight up and out.  She was the scariest looking old lady I have seen to date. In that instant I gasped with the heart in my throat beating like it was going to burst and closed my eyes tightly.  There was such an evil presence to this old lady.  I would not open my eyes again until it was light outside.
We did have this crazy old lady that lived next door to us, she was such a lost soul.  She lived with her daughter and son in-law and they verbally abused her.  I would talk with her every once in awhile. I thought for sure she found a way into our home that early morning possessed. Remembering the features of the old lady standing by my bed, they did not compare to our crazy lady next door neighbor.
That was one hair raising experience, maybe for both the old lady and me.

A Kingston University study discovered the bugs CANNOT survive in the warm, dry conditions found in an unmade bed.
The average bed could be a home to up to 1.5 million house dust mites. Yuk!
The warm, damp conditions created in an occupied bed are ideal for the creatures, but they are less likely to thrive when moisture is in shorter supply.

Researcher Dr Stephen Pretlove said: “We know that mites can only survive by taking in water from the atmosphere using small glands on the outside of their body.
“Something as simple as leaving a bed unmade during the day can remove moisture from the sheets and mattress so the mites will dehydrate and eventually die.”

The other day I went for my first facial ever, Thank you Mom…
A really nice girl who took me back to a dressing room welcomed me.
She asked me to remove all clothing & jewelry except undies for this facial.
Huh?  I thought for face thingy remove clothing? Ok.
Then she escorted me to a chair, and had me smell several scents for a footbath.  While I filled out my forms I sat and soaked my feet and drank flavored water.  She came back and took my feet out of the water, dried them is a warm towel and slip my slippers on my feet.  That was when it hit me, I feel like a movie star.
I was taken into a room and asked to get into a comfortable bed type table and cover with some very soft sheets.  The lighting was dimmed and music was piped into the room. The same young lady started applying stuff to my face very gentle; in between applications of face stuff she would massage my shoulders, neck, arms and feet.  I had a special treatment on my hands and arms with special lotions, she wrap them in plastic and put them in warming gloves.  The whole process took 1.5 hours. And I came out with the softest skin all glowing.  The next day I broke out with acne.  Shuckie darn!  Oh well it was worth it to be treated like I was a movie star rich queen lavish women. Who would of thought a facial was all that.

Dress Rehearsal?

Space the final frontier.
Right now we have many little space ships out there, looking for life beyond Pluto.  Each little ship carries pictures of human and videos from us.
I am really curious what is on those videos of us.
Right now we have large satellites trying to pick up radio frequencies that any aliens might be using to broadcast on.  The great minds of this Earth figure that radio waves are easy and cost effective to use.  So the aliens would definitely use radio waves to communicate with each other.  So NASA invented a computer that scans One million frequencies at once.
All this effort to find other life forms, and what if it happens?  Every single Sci-Fi movie I have seen when the aliens come we always go to war and Earth is in danger of being destroyed and taken over.
Roswell and Area 54. All the rumors of locking up and testing the aliens that crashed on Earth.
What do you think would happen if humans ever came in contact with aliens?
This whole thing really puzzles me; Humans by nature are not peaceful beings.

The Gray squirrel was introduced in 1876 in England. These little squirrels have multiplied well beyond what was expected and also have been causing damage to trees. It seems these little ones like to strip the bark off trees. The government is debating over trapping and sterilizing these squirrels in order to control the population that has grown to the millions.
One Hotel owner has come up with a solution, and it is literally selling like hot cakes…
Squirrel pancakes. Hum, this Hotel owner says he would like to be the supplier for the world on gray squirrels. That way everyone has an opportunity to try these little tasty treats.

PETA would have a field day over this one…

I passed by this lady who was urging people to give money towards preventing cruelty to farm animals. I got to thinking, which is a dangerous thing.  The cruelties to these animals are defined as inhuman conditions, having to live in confined quarters day in and day out. Living in filth (excrements.) Very poor diet, lack of exercise, injected or feed with growth hormones.

Then I thought about the average human. Who spend their lives in cubicles, or small confined spaces each day; they lack exercise and have a very poor diet that is injected with lots of hormones and chemicals.  If you ever visit a business restroom and the janitorial services have missed a day of cleaning, it is pure filth.  If you visit some on these same people homes you will see that it is not any different than the restrooms at work that have no janitorial services.

If people cannot treat people with respect and care, then how can we hope to make a change for animals?
I am not implying that all efforts should be halted towards the fight to preventing animal cruelty. I am thinking that we as humans should work on preventing cruelty to one and another, and from there it would branch out to animals, nature, the earth, and the universe.

The Power of CaKe
Did you every notice when there is cake in the room most everyone gravitates towards it. They eye and ooh & ahh over it, make attempts it touch, smell it and exam every angle of it.
Now, if you put a cake and tub of ice cream on a table, most people look at the cake.
Cake can make a grown man cry. Cake can bring a crowd of yaking women to silence.
May be cake can help stop the war in the Middle East.
On this gloomy cold day, a little tropical sunshine is what is needed.

Hawaiian Wedding Cake
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons of baking soda
2 eggs lightly beaten
1 can-20 oz of crushed pineapple with juice
1 cup shredded coconut
1-cup walnut coarsely chopped
1/2 cup unsalted butter
Stir ingredients with wooden spoon just until all ingredients are moist.
Pour into 8 X 8 baking dish. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
Cool

Frosting
4 oz cream cheese soften
2 cups confection sugar
1-teaspoon vanilla extract
Mix until smooth and creamy.

Someone is playing a prank on us. Why, I have no idea. For Halloween I did some decorating by my front door. I put a wreath up and hung some fluffy spiders. I have this little scarecrow that has been in our Halloween box for years. I put him to sit on an elevated plant hanger. For about a week puppy has been hearing someone out side at the night. Well the last two days while we are out some one has taken the scarecrow off the plant hanger and throw in on the ground, and then soaked the crotch of his pants with some fluid. Big Sis called the police on Saturday night cause someone was outside and puppy kept growling and barking, and the poor scarecrow was molested again in the late night. The police told us to put a pad lock on the front and back gate. Well today I left the house at 3 pm and all was normal. I came back after 4pm and the scarecrow was thrown on the ground and the crotch of the scarecrow pants were soaked. I took the scarecrow to the garbage but did not have the heart to throw him away so I left him on a wooden create to view the world from a safer place. The whole thing give us the willies.
