I got Internet at home now.  Wooohoo.

The other day I was driving down a very pretty lane in a neighboring town.  I said to the girls, I would love to buy a house on this street. Next thing you know there was a sign “For Sale, Open House “ I swerve to follow that arrows to the open house.  There on a beautiful tree lined street was the cutest little home that was a light butter yellow with red shutters that had cut out heart shape on each of the shutters.  The front yard looked like a meadow of wild flowers and there was a lovely little white bench sitting on a porch.  We walked into the home and oh gee, a spacious living room with adjoining formal dining all in a French country motif. There was a kitchen family room combo with pantry and built in writing desk.  There were some fancy French doors with a beautiful view of a lush garden, Two bedrooms with adjoining bathroom   The Master suite has a window seat, fireplace, furniture style cabinets sinks, double soaking tub, separate shower and private commode with walk in closet.  The whole house was totally redone with crown molding wide base boards dual pane windows, whole house sound system and extra garage or work space in the back on 1/3 of an acre. You name it… it had it.  What is the price you ask?  Well it is just $895,000.

According to the New York Times.  The average house in the United States is around the mid $200, 000, in California it is $750, 000.   The average income in the United States is $70, 000, in California it is $46, 000.  Go figure.  That is why there are so many foreclosures in California.

Well I can consider that my dream house, even though it is probably around 1800 square feet.
